Marta Cerdà.

Marta Cerdà is a graphic designer, type designer and illustrator from Barcelona. Cerdà’s work focuses on the boundaries between typography and illustration, expanding the type of work she creates to suit this limitless area.

Cerdà mainly creates custom type and illustrated typography within her work. Her work has a playful and experimental feeling, which I personally love from a piece of design.

I have had the opportunity to sit in on a lecture by Cerdà, she explained her process of creating her illustrated typography and how she brought it into Cinema 4D to add specific elements or textures to it. She also experiments with her type and motion, creating an animated type or image.

I would like to experiment with type in a similar manner to Cerdà by adding extra personality to the words or letterforms one Cinema 4D.
